After going through one of the biggest domestic violence cases hip-hop has seen in a long time with his superstar ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown has been attempting to redeem hisself. However, fans can be relentlessly unforgiving.
Case in point: When the “Privacy” singer commented on a photo RiRi posted on Instagram, fans when ballistic.
With Savage x Fenty’s new holiday collection comes a steamy campaign lead by Rihanna herself. The latest promo hit the internet in the form of topless photos of everyone’s favorite Bad Gal.
RiRi set Instagram on fire after she posted snaps of herself lounging in bed, wearing nothing but red underwear and black thigh-high stockings. “Treat yourself or your loved ones with something NAUGHTY or NICE this season!!” she captioned the post.
Among the thousands of comments was one from the singer’s ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown. Brown simply posted the “flushed” emoji, but fans weren’t having it.
“Stay away from our queen you physco,” a fan wrote. “Oh no, not you. Leave Rihanna alone!!” commented another. The Navy even took their comments to Twitter, posting memes and more warnings.
While Rihanna didn’t publicly respond to her ex’s comment, she did respond to Snapchat after the app featured a “distasteful” and “disgusting” ad, asking users if they’d rather “slap” her or “punch” Brown. Posting her lengthy message on Snapchat itself, she clapped back at the brand’s insensitivity towards domestic violence victims. “You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to DV victims and made a joke of it!!!” said Rihanna.
The Navy had Ri’s back 100%. “If Rih says we’re deleting Snapchat, WE’RE DELETING SNAPCHAT,” stated a fan.
