Well, it’s happening! We reported months ago that Lady Gaga was planning to start her own beauty line, and it turns out that she’s finally settling down and focusing on the big release. The 33-year-old has had a pretty big career so far, so it only makes sense that she add cosmetics brand owner to her ever-growing list of titles.

The new brand, called Haus Laboratories, was inspired by Lady Gaga’s own life experience from when she was just starting outs, she revealed in an interview with The Business of Fashion. At the time, she was using drugstore products that were full of color.

“Color is completely transformative — it’s powerful, it’s beautiful, and it’s how I found my voice with makeup,” she said.

It makes perfect sense, of course — she was initially known for her outrageous, over the top looks, and has been considered a fashion icon for years.
